An old Religious Arbor in Eutaw, Alabama To get to this picture I clicked on the link that said Alabama--Eutaw on the part 3 A page.The next think I clicked on was the entire picture link that said a religious arbor in Eutaw, Alabama.That took me to this relaxing picture. This photograph was taken outside in the bright light of mid-day.This picture is very rural.It is a nice old fashioned relaxing arbor house.There seems to be no mechanical activity which makes this picture so nice and comforting.It is hard to tell the time of day in this picture because it is a black and white picture, but I think it is around mid-day. This picture is just a nature scene with no people in it at all.This picture is a photo of an arbor church which is in the background.There is one giant tree in the middle with a sign in the background, but I can’t make out what it says.The most distinguishing figure that caught my eye first by far was the giant tree in the middle.This make the picture in my mind more relaxing and peaceful as the shade covers most of the ground in the photo. The only structure in the picture is the arbor house in the background which is the main point of the picture.The church building looks to be in pretty good shape for the type of structure it is.It is an old style building that is very small but kept very nice.From where the picture was taken you can’t tell what is around the building.All you can see is the gigantic sign next to it along with many trees around the picture. This photo is very light in the fact that it is a very peaceful scene.Out in front of a church sitting inn the shade on a nice sunny day is very nice.This picture is also very positive going along with the lightness because it is relaxing.It is a picture you would hang on your wall at home and look at it when you are stressed to calm down.This is a light picture because it is day time.This makes this picture very bright. Whenever I look at this picture I think to myself, Wow it used to be so peaceful and relaxing there.Even through the hard times of the Great Depression there are still places people could go to be able to relax and unwind.The peace and serenity of that place must have helped many people during the time of need. Also, the church in the background was used as a place for people to ask for guidance.This was a very hard time for families to survive.Then this was probably one of the few peaceful spots in the area where people could sit and think about what to do. One question I would ask the photographer is what else is around this church?Is there a town nearby of did it take people a long while to get to the arbor.Also, is this picture as rural as it seems or is it just the way the picture was taken?Is there a factory nearby or is it in or very close to a highly populated city.Also how used is the church.Is there a big and loyal group of people who go to mass often there?Those are the questions I would ask the photographer.

An old beaten down store front. To get to this picture I clicked on the Alabama--Dallas County—Selma link on the page of the part two day one.Then I clicked on the link that saidStore with false front. Vicinity of Selma, Alabama that took me right to this store front picture. This picture is set in the outdoors in a very rural area.It is hard to tell because it is a black and white picture but I am guessing that it is daylight out and it is around noon because there are no shadows. In the picture there looks to be one person lurking on the side of the store.He may be a costumer or a person who works at the shop.There also might be a person sitting in a rocking chair but I can see the person because of the shade the awning makes.I can’t tell for either person what they are wearing because off the shade coming off the building that is covering them.To me this building is in no mans land with nowhere around it.I don’t know how they would get any business with no real society around them.What caught my eyes first was the fact of how rundown this building is.It looks like no one is taking care of it and will collapse to a gust of wind. The main one is a store house that is very beat up.There is also a building far in the background that looks like a house or a store like the main one also in the picture, but I can’t tell if it is in as bad of shape as the main building.The buildings look to be very far apart in the desolate wasteland they are in.As you can see in the pictures there seems to be nothing around the building just dirt and a building in the far background. During the time of the Great Depression families had very little money and could barely provide for themselves.This picture shows how bad that time was by showing that no one was there because no one had any money to spend.The picture is very dark in the sense that there is no business and that there.Also, the area that building is in is a wasteland so I am not sure how they would get any business anyway.He only building other than the store that is shown is a building in the background that I am not sure is a store or a home. One question I would ask to the photographer would be when exactly was this photo taken and also what also is around the building so I know whether or not it is in the middle or nowhere or is it just the way the picture was taken.Also, by knowing when the picture was taken I would be able to know how far into the Great Depression the picture is.This will let me know how deep people are financially.The longer the Great Depression went on the worse it got for families across the country.Families could not support itself and the poverty rate skyrocketed.

Home to a Negro Farmers Family To find this page I clicked on the required link Alabama—Greensboro which led me to the picture of the link Home of a Negro farm family near Greensboro, Alabama.This photograph was taken outdoors which seemed to be day time or near the end of the day.Or the sky is really dark because of a storm that is coming in.This is also a very rural home because it is a farm house.It is made for a family who worked on a farm for a living.As I can see there looks to be only 2 people in the picture.One looks to be a black male who I’m guessing is the father of the family.The other person is a black woman who is most likely the mother.The male is wearing typical farmer’s clothes that are very ragged and the mother is wearing a dress that is really old. The family looks to be poor like many families during this time.This home looks to be in relatively good condition.It houses a family and that is all it does.It looks to be placed on a property with a vast amount of land we other homes are hard to be seen.The only thing surrounding the home that is seen in the picture is farmland and what looks to be a shed in the background.This picture is both light in the fact that the picture is during the day time while the sun beats down on the mother and father.Also, in the way that it is not an emphasized picture.It is a basic regular picture and not over-done.Also, this picture is positive that it is nice and calm.It shows a nice family home with a husband and wife relaxing in the sun.This picture is very nice.It shows a nice hard working family and what they can make do with the money they have.A question I would ask the photographer is how many kids do this family have to help run there farm.Also, I would ask how big there land was?Was it hard to run and keep business with the way the economy was then
